you can not believe what’s on your TV
they say no one could have foreseen that
but let’s be honest with ourselves
sooner or later it was bound to go wrong
more, more, more is what we want
a dead-end street is all we reached
all our sins they came home to roost
and all this was made in the name of progress but:
the world strikes back and will not play our game
and man have to learn how small they really are
mother earth will change it all again
and we don’t know where we are
step by step on the brink of ruin
and no one will be sorry when we jump
heads up in the clouds but what about the ground
we all have dug our own grave
don’t say that is an act of god
we all know we have a big hand in it
the so-called crown of creation
will be nothing but a freak of nature but:
the world strikes back and will not play our game
and man have to learn how small they really are
mother earth will change it all again
and we don’t know where we are
who we are
